NAS STAFF TRAINED ON MATERNAL EMERGENCIES IN VOLTA REGION

The staff of Peki and Juapong Ambulance stations in the Volta region have been trained in maternal emergencies to help strengthen the emergency care delivery in the area. The training is an initiative by the Peki government hospital and the aim is to help reduce maternal mortality in the area.
The facilitators for the training were experience midwives from the Peki government hospital.
The personnel were taken through topics like ECLAMPSIA, PRE-ECLAMPSIA and other MATERNAL EMERGENCIES.
The engagement also serves as a medium for fostering the existing collaboration between National Ambulance Service and the Ghana Health Services in providing healthcare for the people of Ghana. Below are excerpts from the training.
