NATIONAL AMBULANCE SERVICE RESPONDS TO ROAD TRAFFIC ACCIDENT AT KWASHIEMAN

The National Ambulance Service (NAS) has responded to a tragic road traffic accident at Kwashieman in Accra in the early hours of Good Friday.
The incident, which occurred at approximately 4:30 a.m., involved a passenger bus transporting members of Christ Preachers Church from Takoradi to Accra for an Easter convention, and a truck carrying onions and tubers of yam en route to the Dominase onion market.
Upon receiving the distress call, the NAS Emergency Medical Dispatch Centre promptly activated response protocols, dispatching ambulance teams from the Ablekuma area to the scene.
On arrival, Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) conducted rapid assessment and triage of victims. A total of twenty-eight (28) casualties were attended to and evacuated to health facilities for further management. Twenty (20) injured persons were transported to the Weija Gbawe Municipal Hospital, while eight (😎 others were conveyed to the Ablekuma North Polyclinic.
Unfortunately, two persons, including a motor rider who was caught up in the incident, were confirmed dead at the scene.
The swift response and coordinated efforts of NAS personnel ensured timely pre-hospital care and transportation of victims, contributing significantly to the management of the situation.
